My daughter picked up a pair of 2008 32 vela boots on line. Now that she has them, she realizes they are supposed to be heat fitted. Is it possible to do something on our own? Any idea what temp the "fit system heater" operates at?

http://thirtytwo.com/tech/molding/

Is the official 32 boots website info on the molding process. The site goes more into detail about the exact recommended process.

You may want to know how many times this process can be done and what happens on repetitive molding.

32 website response

We highly recommend going to a certified 32 dealer to get this done.

If you try to bake the liners yourself, you will void your warranty and cou=
ld cause a fire.
If you also try and mold your liners more than twice you could break down t=
he liner foam material and could cause damage so please go to your local 32=
dealer and have them assist you.

Thanks and good luck.

Please let us know how everything works out.

That is what I was afraid of. I know I hate it when someone buys something off the internet and then comes to our dealership. We usually tell them that we are very busy supporting the people who bought their product from us and they go to the end of the line. So I am assuming snow sports are no different. I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask a couple of the local dealers, before they get too busy.

Some places consider internet users very informed. The person you have to deal with at the shop may appreciate this.
