I have a Burton Custom binding that cracked apart on the think plastic base that wraps around the back of your foot, just above the back of the heel. It`s pretty thick plastic, so I think it will glue pretty well, if I knew of some good glue.
I was considering glueing and then drilling a hole on either side of the plastic so I could bolt a piece of metal over the break. If I could avoid that it would be good though.
So, can someone recommend a solution, or some really heavy duty glue for this?

getting yourself AFU by riding on a broken/improperly repaired binding. Nevertheless, if you are determined to try to "glue" it please check out the following link and learn how to properly repair plastics. http://www.urethanesupply.com/howtorepair.html
I recommend you do additional research as well if you plan to do this.
The Burton binding you are referring to, to the best of my knowledge, has a Polycarbonate baseplate and Nylon highback. It sounds like the part you are referring to is the (non-adjustable) heelcup which is part of the baseplate on this one. Polycarbonate is a thermoplastic and you should be able to "weld" it back together and without worrying about the integrity of the binding afterwards. However, this is largely dependent on skill and proper tools & materials. Ensure that you can correctly identify what type of plastic you are trying to repair and follow the methods outlined in the link above. Also note that the methods outlined are intended for repairing plastics on automobiles. And of course, you`d be best off consulting with your local shop or calling around to find a professional to do it right. Be prepared to buy a new set of bindings because if there currently is an effective warranty you will definitely void it.

Everyone **** about burton but they stand behind there products. Go to the Burton web page and call the 1-800 number for customer service. For a small cost they will ship you any part. Do not try to repair it because it will not work. There is to much pressure and stress on this part and this type of material is almost impossible to repair. Or just go to a snowboard shop (Not a ski shop that sells snowboards) that sells burton. They all have a bin of straps and parts. I broke a couple of straps on my CFX and they replaced it for free. I also swapped the carbon highback for the mission highback ( I had to pay for this but it was cheap ).
So call them up and they will help you!

Thanks for your replies. I`m taking your advice and I`m not going to try to repair it. The bindinqg isn`t under warranty, but I`ll either order the part or I`ll buy new bindings. Also, I called my local shop and if I go in tomorrow the guy is going to try to find the part for me.

Plastic thingies can be hard to repair, especially when they`re like this. You can try melting the pieces together at the crack, but you might just end up with a joing that is harder than the surrounding areas. The part would break immediately when stressed. I guess fixing snowboard bindings is like repairing mufflers. It`s probably not going to last any time at all.
Sometimes you`re just better off getting a new part.
