Just an FYI
If you have a reservation on Air Canada to Vancouver (whistler) you might want to call and verify your flights haven`t been changed.
They cancelled non-stop service from my airport (Phoenix, and possibly other North American departures?) to Vancouver airport and stuck me on a flight through Calgary with TOTALLY different departure times.
The ONLY reason I found out about it, was because I lost my itinerary information and called to get it, it was then they told me my flights had been changed. Fortunately I was able to find a flight that stops in Denver and is nearly the same departure/arrival times as my previous reservation. And for $10 less too. They wil refund any tickets that have been changed regardless of whether or not the ticket was issued as non-refundable or not.

Just another reason NOT to fly Air Canada. Looks like the Canadian taxpayers should brace themselves for yet another Air Canada bailout.

I`ll always love KLM for bumping up to first class on my first trip to Europe.

My last first class KLM flight was ok (the company paid), but someone on the flight died and they lay the body out in the first class galley, which is kind of interesting to watch. The schipol police are kind of interested in people who peg out on incoming flights from [south american] interesting locations for reasons which you can figure out.
What do you do with the little pottery houses they give you? I don`t think they have much snowboarder cred.
Most transatlantic 1st class is pretty good, although I like Virgin`s food service best - you can eat when you want and pick from a proper restaurant menu. Sadly my budget doesn`t usually run to that...
AC service from UK to Canada (VVR/ YYC) doesn`t seem affected by anything yet. It`s better than United (not non-stop, lots of fat people), or BA (prissy). Video service can be absolutely shite though.
