hi to everyone out there i'm new to snowboarding and this site i haven't even been boarding yet i've just brought a nitro board and some vans boots i need some help with my boots they say there switch compatable i was wondering if i can use normal bindings and take the metal bits off or do i have to use switch ones any help would be gratefull i have a lesson booked for thursday and need to get them sorted by then.

I understood the metal bits made it easier to control the board. Isn't that what a beginner needs?
That said, I hope an experienced snowboarder will give his advise as well....

ask the retailer were you bought them and if they cant give you a striaght answer return them and go to another store.. take the time and do some research it will save you loads of cash and when in doubt ask a pro.
