Best places to live/work?

I am looking to move to either Breck or Vail and do seasonal work for the winter. Where are the top places to make money? Have been in the restaurant industry for 10+ years mostly doing high speed club bartending. Ive done the seasonal thing quite a few times (coming from surfing OBX all summer) and so I know how that goes. Any advice on the best places to find seasonal housing?

Contacting the resorts, and other employers may work.
