Is moist snow preferred if one is just learning to snowboard? In the Summer, for learning and practice purposes, would indoor, moist snow be acceptable?

This looks very similar to the type of snow that is relatively common on the west slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in the Western U.S.A. (California). I personally consider it very acceptable as I am used to it being from the Sierra area. People from the Rockies/ Utah area might have another opinion as they may be used to what might be some of the lightest snow on the planet.

As long as it is not frozen solid ice, it is a very desirable surface as far as I'm concerned for almost all snowboarding venues. May be more difficult for skiers. Obviously people who want bottomless powder have to analyze the situation for their needs/wants.
