Town of Whistler, population approximately 10,000. It is one of the sites of the 2010 Winter Olympics. It’s approximately a two-hour drive from Vancouver, depending on traffic and the weather. As you head further north to Whistler, your elevation increases, as does the amount of snow on the roads.

Whistler Mountain is a peak in the Fitzsimmons Range on the edge of Garibaldi Provincial Park, and the location of the Whistler-Blackcomb ski resort and the town of Whistler, British Columbia.

Because of the mountain’s proximity to Garibaldi Provincial Park, ski lifts are regularly used to quickly access the alpine, and ski tour into the park. The summit is home to the Whistler Peak chair, and this makes it one of the most traveled summits in BC.

Boyne Mountain is a ski resort in Northern Michigan located near Boyne City . Originally developed by Everett Kircher, Boyne Mountain is now owned and operated by Boyne Resorts, and is the location of Michigan’s largest indoor water park. Boyne Mountain is notable for its continued use of the first chairlift built. The chairlift was originally constructed in Idaho in 1936 for use at a resort in Sun Valley, Idaho. The lift was later moved to Boyne Mountain where parts are still in use today.

According to Mike from the Ski the East- blog Killington is kicking off the 2008/09 ski and snowboard season.

Killington has always been the perennial early season opener and it’s good see them leading the pack again this season!

Killington Ski Resort is located in Killington, Vermont. The resort consists of seven mountains, and has 200 trails and 33 chair lifts. Killington has the longest ski season in eastern North America and provides optimal skiing for skiers of all levels. Lessons are available at the Perfect Turn Ski School.

Killington averages 250 inches of natural snow each winter. That, coupled with a snow making system that covers 70% of the trails, has allowed Killington to offer what is often the longest skiing season in eastern North America, typically lasting from October to May. It covers more terrain with snow than most resorts have terrain. Also, Killington experiences a lot more snow than areas around it.

The Loveland Ski Area is a ski area located near the town of Georgetown, Colorado. The area is a one of the closest to the Denver metro area and Front Range corridor making it popular with locals. The Basin is the larger of the 2 areas that comprise of Loveland Ski Area. It features a vertical drop of 2,410 feet, a base of 10,800 feet and a summit of 13,010 feet. The Basin is home to 6 of the 8 lifts and 85% of the total ski able acres.

We skied A-Basin and then Loveland today for their opening day. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the snow was very good with only a few hard spots.A-Basin was pretty crowded with long lift lines but Loveland was wide open with a perfect run that had a steeper pitch for Alden to find his carve on. Alden must have been the only little guy there.

Instead of writing in your resume that you love to cook or read you should write that you are a snowboarder that is what will empress your boss to be, while reading cooking or listening to music might seem as you are lacking imagination being a snowboarder suggest you are full of ambition and energy.

That was the result according to a curious new study by Sno!zone and was reviewed on Highly Obsessed - the snowboarding and cycling blog.

Sno!zone queried 500 bosses, and the results were kind of hilarious. According to the release, “almost 60 percent [of bosses] said listing reading and cooking suggested a lack of imagination or ambition in a candidate.
