If I am carving on a steep slope I noticed that my board starts 'hopping' when Im on my heel edge. That is it grabs and releases its grip over and over, however it doesnt do this when Im on the toe edge. This is only on hard packed snow or ice.
My first thought was that this was due to some heel overhang however as far I can see I dont have much heel overhang. My second thought is that it is due to the board being too flexible.
In any case I don't really know, has anyone here had the same experience and has an idea what may be causing it?
Thanks

Glen hi,
I'm not much of a snowboarder but my first thought when reading this was:
do you keep your weight properly placed on the board?
On the heel edge might not be the right way to go about descending steep slopes?

most of us nsowboarders turn to far onto our heels when carving check what angle your board is at on your toe edge and try to mimic it on the heel edge. just try not to face down hill for a while.

Its not where you ride, its how you ride.
Safety, Fun, Learning.
The terrain park ends where you stop riding.
