I have a questions about how boots are supposed to fit. I was at the snowboard shop in my town yesterday and salesperson was telling me that my toes should be right up against the inside of the boot. Is this true? SHould I not have any movement of my toes? Any input would be very helpful

From my understanding you want your toes to be snug against the inside lining of the boot. This is so you will have some slight pressure against your toe. Basically the idea here is to not have your heel lift up when you bend your knees. Other then this it is all a matter of personal preference.

You for sure want a tight fit. After wearing them for a while they will loosen up for sure. If you buy them and they are already loose then once you break them in they will not fit anymore. As with shoes they are often a little uncomfortable when you first start wearing them.

Definately be very careful when you buy new boots. Make sure that your heels are very cushioned and don't move around at all. They will loosen with time.

It is extremely important that you do not buy a boot that is too wide for you. If you do then you will not be supported properly and this can effect your riding. Also your foot sometimes swells up from the cold which is why the boot will pack out some after wearing it a few times. Hope this helps you out
