I`ve been struggling to find good boots so any recommendations would be welcome. The problem is that my ankle is fairly narrow so I always get a lot of heel movement. In order to have good control over the board I then need to tighten my bindings really tight which kills my feet very soon. I tried a pair of Salomon Malamutes which a friend recommended and in the store they felt very good. Which other boots do you guys think I should try out?

also fit well. The Dialogues are probably the most versatile model - they`re quite a bit softer than the Malamutes but still stiff enough to perform well, and a bit cheaper. I have Malamutes myself and love them... many people think they are too stiff though.

Just bought the new Burton Sabbath Limited Edition. It`s hella ugly, but man...it feels fantastic. Little expensive though..

no problems with heel lift.
A tip to help reduce heel lift, as it`s not always completely a `boot` problem. When lacing your liner (if applicable) and boot, bend your foot forward at the ankle (like this: /_ not like this: _) and kick your heel down on the ground into the back of the boot, simultaneously pull and tighten your laces around your ankle. This helps to get your foot into the back of your boot and keep it there. Test Pilot makes a product to help with this too. 7489627
It`s called a boot fit kit. Don`t know how well it works because I haven`t needed to use it but other Test Pilot products I have used perform very well. Has anybody else here tried this thing?

Northwave Static (season 2002) fits perfectly into my Drake Limited (season 2002) - so good that I have less/no heal lift even compared to my molded hardboots.
The interface between you and your board is your boot _and_ your binding.

Vans Daniel Francks fit me the best, and I`ve got long narrow feet.
