I`m a big tall guy w/ size 14s. I`ve been riding a Burton Canyon 169 now for a couple of seasons and been really happy with it, but I`m curious about the Donek Sasquatch.
I ride powder (when I can) and like trees. If you see me in the pipe, it`s because I wasn`t watching where I was going
Has anybody ridden both? Any and all opinions appreciated.

You could search google regarding my previous reports on the boards, but I guess I`ve written a fair bit. My first bit about the Sasquatch would be in Jan 2001 I think.
They`re both excellent boards, and I can`t really fault either of them. The main thing about the Canyon is that it`s pig ugly and has a disgusting green colour - but I`m not really fussed about how it looks. With Donek, you choose your graphics.
The only niggle with the Canyon is the spec. Burton quote (or quoted) 272mm waist width, but I found it to be 268mm. OK that`s not much, but if you`re after a wide board it makes a difference. I used to deck out my toes when I got the carving right on the Canyon - no more with the Sasquatch... I get that one right over and it rocks. Even though it`s 280mm waist width, it goes from edge to edge with ease - it suprised me.
The Donek will be cheaper as well.
If both my boards snapped or where stolen - I`d buy another Sasquatch without thinking about it. I can`t really say that for the Canyon - although I would want another rock board.
