We regret to inform you that this is not the case. Unfortunately there are still resorts that ban snowboarding.
Alta, the resort on top of Cottonwood Canyon in Utah only offers a combined ticket with snowboarding for skiers. Just next door is the snowboard resort, where snowboarders are welcome without this kind of limitation.
Dear Valley in Utah also discriminates against snowboarders unfortunately.
Taos in New Mexico is yet another snowboard banned resort.
Mad River Glen in Vermont is the last Eastern site to ban snowboards. Not for long I hope…
All we can say about this is that snowboarding is a vastly and rapidly growing segment of the winter sport market and hope that pure economics will eventually change this policy.
