I figured this may be the best place to post my little newbie adventure at my local bunny hill, enjoy.

Hey guys, over the past thanksgiving break I finally got the chance to begin my first snowboarding season and try out my new (used) board! It was really wicked.. and I've come to a conclusion: The Bunny Hill is the most dangerous place to be lol. Trying to get control and almost crashing into skiiers and whatnot, it was fun during my 2nd day haha. At first it was a little hard to get use to the board being 140cm and me being 160 pounds lol.. its a wee short but wth, that thing turns on a dime its awesome. It would just be so hard to keep balance and I kept "catching an edge?" if I think thats what you correctly call it. After the 1st day (2nd time snowboarding) it left me sore all over as I learned the wrong way.. first I went to challenge myself to control going fast down the hill without falling... then learn to brake properly. Needless to say it didnt turn out pretty. (I stayed way clear of the boxes and everything though for sure!)

3rd day: I went from 7:30 to 10:00pm and it was really cold out there... most of the night same as the day earlier I spent most of my time on the bunny hill getting use to the controls this time. I found out im really good at the toeside turns and butters but not the heelside. It just seems tough to try to brake/slowdown heelside but it can be done. So pretty much the rest of that night I ended up going down the hill above the bunny hill going full speed and doing butters along the way down it was so fun too getting use to goofy riding. Also that night my bud brought over his 150cm joyride board so I could tell the difference between a 150cm and a 140cm board, which was really cool. His seemed more easy to balance on doing butters and all, but it just took a little more effort to do them since the board seemed a little stiffer and whatnot... however it doesnt beat the quick awesome turning my 140cm has, I absolutely love it!

But yeah that was my little newbie snowboarding experience and hope you guys enjoyed reading xD.
Edit: Got my wax and everything, me and my bud probably did the worst waxing ever to a board but it was fun lol. gotta start somewhere?

Yeah I did, it was a lot of fun. Sometimes going down the hill though the board would feel bendy like rubber going over bumps but it was just so awesome, but by now I kind of figured out what style route I may want to go.

Not so much into the jibbing like I thought id be, but i found myself more addicted to the speed and attempts at carving I was doing, it was definately fun.
