I'm thinking of going over to step-ins and wondered if anyone had advice? my mate loves them and is sick of waiting for me at top of lifts!

I was going to try out flow but someone made the point that none of the professional snowboarders use them? .......good point maybe...

One deciding factor will be boot comfort as I also need to be able to wear the boots all day without crippling myself (like I did two weeks ago!)

cheers

my friend started using flows this year. he was dubious at first but when he got the set up right he was stoked. i know the pros don't really use them but it really depends what level your at. they are really fast to get in and out of. and for everyday riding they seem fine.

Hi Ginster, welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

I also heard from people flows are great and they got hooked on them. I don't really know the negative sides of it... Perhaps a member having experience with them himself can fill us in about that...

About 2001/2002 I knew a couple of snowboard instructors in So. Cal who used them. An older guy sounded like they were the best on the planet. The young lady had a very used looking (looked like she put at least 100 days on em) set of bindings that had some highback cable issues. My understanding is they have a very good warranty, and the reliability issue is not a problem any more.
