what is the difference between hard and soft bindings?? which are better for what??

flexible bindings for freestyle and stiff for high speed carving. It`s really a trade off between comfort and precision - if you want something a bit more forgiving for landing big jumps go for softer, if you want to be sure to hold an edge on steep ice go for harder. Having said that I know one alpine boarder who uses really soft bindings and some of the competition guys use stiff bindings.
I think a lot of people are recommending going for really stiff bindings these days but personally I find them hard work.
