New Year in Winter Park - queues?

I`m thinking of going to Winter Park for a week over the New Year holiday. I`m confident that the skiing is fine for intermediates who want to improve, and I`m happy with accommodation. However, I`ve heard that lift lines/queues can be quite long over weekends, due to day-trippers from Denver.
My question is - are the lines likely to be long over the New Year holiday period as well, for the same reason as weekends?
