North California Powder - early April?

Think there will be any snow in North California in early april?

As to the quality of the snow at that time, the Magic 8-Ball says "ask again in April".
But if there is a powder dump, it won`t last more than a few hours before it turns to glop.

Absolutly, there will be plenty. But don`t count on it being powder, more likely good spring corn.

do you guys think it will be worth skiing on?

morning, it is better known as ice. As the temperature warms, the surface melts, the water percolates away, leaving ice grains about the size of corn. With freezing overnight temperatures, the surface freezes up again.
Skiing in corn snow is a blast. It`s a firm surface that you can cut an edge into. Corn snow can be found in the Sierra Nevada well into June, and even later in some spots. crust).

Im a bit of a Novice Skier -- Actually Novice is an understatement, this is the first time ill be going up in about 2 years and I`m pretty excited. I just got a new (well new to me) pair of skis from my dad, he just had his fourth knee surgery and realized he didnt need the skis anymore. The week of the 30th I plan to go out 4-5 times to sugarbowl, I will be staying with my grandmother who lives near there.

Thank you all for your advice, I am the utmost novice skier yet I just received a new pair of skis (new to me at least) and plan to hit sugarbowl 4-5 times the week of the 30th and am pretty excited.
