I`m buying boots finally after renting last season. I tried on sixteen paris of boots last weekend. I find size 9 1/2s feel a bit cramped in the toebox and seem a bit snug side-to-side, but size 10 gives me way too much heel lift. On the boots that feel a bit snug, I get numb middle toes after about 10 - 15 minutes of wearing them. This was a common problem with the rental boots that forced me to take them off four or five times a day to ease up on the pressue. Also, my feet would get quite cold.
So can you recommend a make and/or model to try for a size 9 1/2 that is on the large size (high volume), or can you suggest a method to control the heel slip on a size 10?
