The time has come to buy a new board and I`m thinking about buying a fat one this year. Any opinions on Ride Mecca vs. Burton Canyon? I need a fast and stiff board that is quick edge to edge. I`m tempted to get a Burton Custom because I have size 10 feet (US size11) and haven`t really suffered too badly from toe drag before. Anyway, got any opinions on these two boards? thanks ...

edge to edge - the Custom and Canyon may not be your best choice.
I have a Donek Wide ( www.donek.com ) which is definitely fast, stiff, and quick edge-to-edge. I highly recommend it. If you need something that won`t have to be shipped over from the US, you could look at Salomon - maybe the Fastback?

for the Custom or Canyon, more of a recommendation for another board the OP hadn`t considered.
Both the Custom and Canyon are reasonably fast and stiff boards. The Custom is too narrow for US11 feet if that person is running freeride or freestyle angles and getting any reasonable lean angle on the board. The Canyon would be a better choice out of those two.
I`ve not ridden the Ride, I`m sure it`s good, so it comes down to price and graphics
