Hopefully there`s some of you on this board that have used the Boa cable lacing system available on dc, vans & northwave boots? I am looking for opinions on durability, any failures you`ve experienced, overall comfort based on what kindof riding style you have, etc. Quite frankly I am tired of laces, having to retie them, trying to get the tightness just right, etc. I`ve heard differing stories from shop employees but I want some real world opinions.
Also, I am looking for opinions on the lace up DC boots which have the inflatable liners. Comfort, anyone popped one? At least this way I can use the inflatable liner to adjust tightness etc.
I need to replace my boots this season.

I have the Vans BOA I bought last year and they are near perfect. I experience no heel lift, something no other boot I tried was able to provide. I rode 14 days on them last year, form Whistler to Tahoe to Mammoth and I have not had any problems whatsoever. They are not as cushy as the Northwave boots, but they fit way better.
I have tried on at least a dozen types of boots and nothing comes close. The BOA is just plain better than any lace system. For whatever its worth, I tried on the new DC BOA and they did not fit well at all. I got major heel lift with these boots. The air pump system is nice, but there was so much heel lift, it didn`t matter. The heel lift problem completely negated any benefits from the air pump.
I would never go back to laces ever and I think the boot manufactures that haven`t caught on to the BOA system are crazy.
I bought my Vans last year for $269. The Fargo BOAs are $239, a pretty good investment in my opinion.

I`m a pretty picky buyer and I like to research a lot before I spend my hard earned cash. I like Salomon products because they are high quality and the manufacturer is reputable and has been around for a long time. Anyway I researched many many reviews and asked a lot of store guys and found out that the Salomon Dialogue boot has been one of the most sought after boots for the last 3 years. Here`s a bunch of reviews on this awesome boot:
Here`s 54(!) reviews, almost all good, about the 2001 model: http://www.outdoorreview.com/Snowboard,Boots/Conventional,2001,and,Ol... omon,Snowboarding,Dialogue,2001/PRD_85714_3143crx.aspx
Here`s 8 reviews on the 2002 model http://www.outdoorreview.com/Snowboard,Boots/Conventional,2002/Salomo... oarding,Dialogue/PRD_104210_4198crx.aspx
Here it is on a list of "Top 5 boots of 2002." I`ve also seen it on many other lists like this http://snowboarding.about.com/cs/boots/tp/boots02.htm
To make a long story short, Salomons generall fit people with more narrow, "low volume" feet, like me. I tried Burton, but found them too wide. I simply could not find any of these from 2002, so I had to buy the 2003 model for $329 Canadian, which hurt the wallet. But the Dialogues are so awesome, light weight, have a very fast easy lace system, warm, just the right stiffness, and not too bad in looks. They`re Salomon`s third most expensive boot, behind the Malamute and Synapse (which are also really good, if you like super stiff, high performance, heat mouldable boots). If you fit the Dialogues, they`re probably the best balance of price and performance.
