I've skateboarded for around 6 or 7 years and have solid board control (carving, balance, shifting weight etc..)
but i'm guessing that snowboarding is going to take a whole new set of techniques just to make it down the slope without bailing to many times.
I guess i'm just looking for some basic tips for how to transfer skateboarding skills to snowboarding, and if there's any particular pitfalls I should watch out for??
Any advice will be greatly recieved.

Hi Dan, welcome to the forum Probably the best way to test this out is to go snowboarding for one time and get the 'feel' of it, from there on you can adjust all learned techniques to snowboarding

The good thing about being a skater is that once you get a hang of board control on a snowboard, you've all ready got all the rail tricks.
I used to skate and this was my first full year of snowboarding and I can rip it up. I'm really good considering this is only my first year on a snowboard.

lean forward.
Its not where you ride, its how you ride.
Safety, Fun, Learning.
The terrain park ends where you stop riding.
