I`ve just bought my first board - a Burton Clash.
Just wondered if anyone has any advice for maintenance, ie. waxing etc. I believe it`s been "factory waxed" so should be OK for the first week or so, but that then I should get a re-wax.
Is maintenance easy to do, or should I take my board to a servicing specialist in the resort ?

of it like "Tuning Basics" should be good to start with, some of it is quite advanced and more than you will ever need.
Waxing is a pretty simple operation that can easily be done at home. It gets expensive really quick if you have it done at a shop or resort. It takes some practice - in particular, I`ve seen a lot of people not scrape properly and leave too much on which slows them down a lot. You want wax *in* your base, not *on* it.

Your Burton faxtory wax will last 1 or two runs. They do the wax job right over the stickers. I`d do it my self b4 I even take it out. In fact my new Burton Rush, I will do it too. You take the stickers off, and you`ll have a bare patch.
