Hi,

I just bought onejayball's fluorinated cold x wax. I've been reading online that you had to wax your board with a base wax first before you can wax it with the fluorinated wax. Is that true? And if so, what kind of base wax (a regular hydrocarbon wax?) and what would happen if I didn't have a base wax and decided to use the fluorinated wax anyways?

Thanks!

ZardozNotWax has claimed in the past that fluorinated waxes will plug up the base, therefore not absorbing as much base lube in the future. Apparently this means the base lube will not last as long.

I personally don't use wax (http://www.zardoznotwax.com/ teflon is what I use). If you want to use wax, hopefully you can find a great tuner with some good advise.

Looks like there are teflon bases now that require no lube. Please respond with any comments about these teflon bases.
