I have been looking into heading to a snowboard camp this summer but not sure if it is worth the money or not. Anyone ever heard of the high cascade snowboard camp before? It was reccomended to me by someone at the snowboard shop in my area but am really not sure if I should go or not. If someone has been or know someone who went could you please give me some input. Thanks.

I never attended a snowboarding summer camp before but I did go to a short one over spring break. The one I went to was at Mt. Hood and it was really good. Some of the summer camps are really expensive because of all the activities you do. But if you want a no frills camp just to learn snowboarding then check this one out.

I have also been looking into one of these summer camps as well. But I really just want a camp where you can ride around all day and not be coached like a beginner. The one at Mt. Hood seems te be just this, more for beginners than anything else. If someone knows of one that is more of camp for riding around on your own and learning as you go please let me know.

If you check out the website of High Cascade summer camp you will find your answer. They are not like a snowboarding boot camp in any way. For most of the day you are own your own to do whatever you like. But for a few hours each day you are with a coach who will watch over you on your runs and give you pointers on how to improve your skills. It sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

Yeah i heard highcascade is pretty sweet some of my friends have gone up there, i heard windells is better but they are probably pretty simaler. They are both on mt hood. its like 1.300 to 1.700 plus air-fare depending on wich session you go.

and if you cant afford it go to woodward skateboard camp.
they have a great snowboard program althought you dont have every thing that a mtn has there it a synthetic slope with a pretty big kicker and a few good boxes. i went there during the summer.
